RISC consultants have developed, monitored, assessed, and managed Defense critical infrastructure protection and business continuity programs for a major DoD organization. Our consultants have more than 110 years of combined experience between them, and are retired senior field grade officers (O-6 and O-5) and command-level senior enlisted advisors and special operators (E-9).

We are, by our very nature, steeped in military custom and courtesy. RISC consultants have experience supporting emergency management and business continuity programs for state and local governments through federal special programs. The education half of SLED carries the same obligations as any government body and often less dedicated staff to meet them. RISC delivers continuity of operations and emergency management planning for school districts, higher-education institutions, and multi-campus university systems alongside state agencies, counties, and municipalities — essential-function analysis, incident and emergency response planning, exercise design, and recovery planning sized to the institution.

RISC has proven experience and expertise as Contractor Special Security Officers (CSSOs), Facility Security Officers (FSOs), and COMSEC custodians, and has developed security-based training programs for CSSOs and FSOs. We have depth of knowledge and years of experience applying program oversight as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), or DoD 5220.22-M.

We have extensive experience understanding, developing, and delivering facility clearances, DD Form 254s, DD Form 441s, and the entire suite of contractor program security requirements mandated across defense and intelligence programs.

Many not-for-profit organizations do not realize the importance of having sound business continuity and security programs. RISC will develop, monitor, assess, and manage business continuity and security programs for not-for-profit organizations — including religious organizations, counseling centers, and cultural centers — using the Plan-Do-Check-Act management system model.

Faith-based institutions

Congregations, parishes, mosques, temples, and faith-based service ministries hold weekly mass gatherings, operate community programs, and keep records a community depends on.

For faith-based institutions RISC provides continuity of operations planning so worship, education, and outreach can continue after a disruption; emergency and life-safety planning for large gatherings, including evacuation, sheltering, medical response, and volunteer response roles; facility security assessments covering access control, surveillance, and the protection of sanctuaries, schools, and offices; and safeguarding of essential community services, membership and financial records, and archival material.
